The Real Madrid star is light years ahead of Barcelona’s no.10 when it comes to Facebook likes.

A report on Real Madrid’s website said that the Portuguese skipper became the first sportsman to reach the landmark, 12 million likes ahead of Messi.

“Reaching 50,000,000 likes is unbelievable … I want to thank you, you, you, and everyone who have been supporting me all these years. I really want us to keep sharing all the good moments together – and the best is still to come. Thank you all,” he wrote to his Facebook fans.

The star forward is very active on social media websites Facebook and Twitter and hit the 50 million figure before other athletes like Kobe Bryant, Roger Federer, and LeBron James.
