Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity role model for young girls, in a new poll of 2,407 parents.

The 20-year-old actress-turned-singer, who recently caused a stir with the explicit nature of her latest album, beat Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes to the title.

She received 68per cent of the votes collected by CouponCodes4u for her 'inability to make positive life choices', 'lack of talent’ and 'sexualised' appearance.

But seemingly desperate to shed her good girl image, she has built a reputation for wearing scandalous outfits and dancing provocatively in nightclubs.
Her new single We Can't Stop, released earlier this month, appears to reference drug use and scantily-clad women.
