Simon Cowell admits he wasn't proud of affair with married Lauren Silverman

The 54-year-old mogul welcomed baby Eric at a New York hospital on Valentine’s Day, but the birth was preceded by intense media scrutiny regarding his affair with socialite Lauren Silverman while she was married to his former friend, businessman Andrew Silverman.
‘I regret that part,’ he told Mark Jefferies of The Daily Mirror. ‘But then of course you have a baby and you look at the baby and you kinda go ‘This is what happened from it.’
‘In this situation you are not going to come out well because of the circumstances. It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone.’
