Khloe Kardashian has put her relationship with boyfriend James Harden on hold, reports say. The break in romance is linked to the recent goings-on around Khloe's estranged husband Lamar Odom, who was left fighting for his life after being found unconscious from a near-fatal overdose in a Las Vegas brothel.
There have also been reports that Lamar, 35, managed to muster the strength to tell his ex that he 'loves her', after waking from a coma.
The 31-year-old Keeping up with the Kardashians star, according to TMZ, has underlying deep feelings for Lamar - who she married in 2009, but is now separated from - which has caused her to rethink her new relationship.
                                                
Khloe's union with NBA player James, 26, came into question when she flew out to visit her former spouse in the hospital immediately after he was taken there at the weekend.

She had vowed to support him as he recovered following his brush with death, causing an obvious conflict with her current relationship, especially as it's thought ex-NBA star Lamar will take months to be nursed back to health.

Meanwhile, Lamar has now been discharged from Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas, just under one week since he was found unconscious from a near-fatal overdose in a brothel.

Devoted Khloe has not left his side since the collapse and travels with him everywhere in the hospital. She'll be with him throughout the 'months' of treatment ahead of him as he continues to recover.
While Khloe's dedication to the troubled former basketball star is laudable, it raised the question about what her unwavering devotion may cost her personally.
The obvious conflict was with the reality star's new romance with James, who she has been dating for around four months, although it seems to have cooled off in the midst of the medical crisis.
While the couple's romance is still very new - they were only first spotted together on the July Fourth holiday weekend - they had seemed smitten.
Their relationship moved quickly, and when Harden turned 26 at the end of August, it was Khloe who took control of his birthday celebrations.

And while the extravagant fireworks celebration may have annoyed the residents of the quiet neighborhood it disturbed, it certainly met with the seal of approval from Harden.
In a new interview, apparently given prior to Lamar's collapse, he talked of his appreciation for Khloe.
'Turning 26 was special,' Harden told The Houston Chronicle in an article published Sunday. 'Khloe did an amazing job with the birthday party.'



And he even seemed at ease with the blinding spotlight thrust upon him by his association with his new love's fame-hungry family - with his birthday even filmed for Khloe's show Keeping Up With The Kadashians.
'I'm not going to sit there and be in the house and be shackled up,' he said, explaining that the attention wouldn't change his attitude to life. 'I'm going to be free, have fun and enjoy it.

The Houston Rockets star said he wasn't 'overwhelmed'. 'I'm really like a normal guy. I like to do normal things,' he said.
And James told the newspaper that he was at a 'good stage' both in his professional and private life. 'Everything is flowing. Everything is what I imagined it would be. My family is great. Friends. Everyone is in a good place right now.'
But while the bearded sportsman was ready for the fame that a life with Khloe would bring he has yet to comment on the crisis which caused Khloe to drop everything and race to Las Vegas a week ago.

Indeed, as Khloe sits vigil at Lamar's bedside, James' only social media posting has been a photo of himself smiling, beside baseball player Carlos Correa.

'Beast mode!!!!' he wrote.
