Kanye West played MATCHMAKER for Khloé Kardashian and Matt Kemp Before she filed for divorce from Lamar Odom
Kanye West, 36, was the one who set up his
soon-to-be sister-in-law Khloé Kardashian, 29, with baseball player Matt Kemp,
also 29, in November, according to the December 30 issue of UsWeekly.
'Matt's manager is one of Kanye's best friends,'
a source tells the magazine. 'Kanye suggested his manager hook them up.'
After Khloé returned from her trip to Australia on November 22 and saw that video of husband Lamar Odom, 34, rapping about cheating 'on the DL' the reality star took her wedding rings off.
'The damage Lamar did to their relationship was
beyond repair,' a source tells UsWeekly.
That's when Kanye got to work.
It was three weeks before she filed for divorce from the former Clipper on December 13. So even though she was still technically married, her next beau was already being lined up.
'Khloé and Matt are in the early, early stages of a relationship and they're taking it really slow,' a source told TMZ on Tuesday.
'There's definitely something cooking between them.'
But the Dodger is not talking.
Rumors of a Khloé/Matt romance heated up on Friday, the very day she filed for divorce from her NBA star husband, when she was seen following the slugger's black Bentley after a workout session.
According to RadarOnline, the reality star's romance with Matt has reportedly been in swing for some time.
On December 1, Khloé and the Oklahoma-bred athlete both attended the John Legend show at LA's Nokia Theatre.
And then on Monday, they were together at Jay Z's concert in LA, which Lamar also attended separately and he didn't speak to his estranged wife.
